Just Letting You Know I am Still Here...

It’s been three months since I last posted anything. Just hasn’t been much to show. I’ve piddled around with a few things, but not much worth showing.

I am still making it around reading the blogs and like many of you who use/used Google Reader I had to find a new reader to keep up with everyone. I tried a few and I guess I am going to stick with Netvibes.

I thought I should put something up just to let you know I am still here. My muse must have decided to take a really long vacation because I just can‘t seem to get back “into the groove”. I did, however, create a couple of simple pages in my vintage gluebook in the past few days, so here they are.

TtV Journal Pages

I have nearly finished the journal I made for the Ticket to Venice online class with Mary Ann Moss. (a link is in my sidebar). I decided to make a faux travel journal using the daily postcards, etc from the class.

These are just a few of the pages with the many, many photos and what have you that I put in the journal. I had not planned on it being so full; I mean this thing ways weighs a ton! I still need to add some captions here and there on pages.

I did the double diamond stitch on the spine. My first time using this binding stitch.

This is the front cover. I had to add the leather strap closure to hold the journal closed.

The bulldog clips are there just to hold things open while I snapped the photos.

I am Here

Well here we are at the end of the first full week of a brand new year. Can you believe it! I guess time really does go faster as you get older.

Back in early December I signed up for a Ticket to Venice with the fabulous Mary Ann Moss (along with several hundred other people). We all got to go on a virtual trip as Mary Ann walked around and videoed parts of the city and then journaled about it.

Since I will never get to travel to far away places I thought this would be a fun experience. Everyone is creating journals
using some of the things Mary Ann provided as well as their own photos, supplies etc. So I have been busy gathering papers, photos, postcards and sundry other bits and pieces and slowly working on my Venice journal.

Here are a couple of (not so great) photos of my worktable.

Sorry it looks like blogger isn't going to let me upload from my computer so you will have to take a detour to my flickr photostream here.
