I never intended to go so long in between postings, but you know how sometimes life just gets in the way. I’ve only been able to get into my art room a few times and then it was only to just kind of piddle around.
I did, however, sit down recently and have a play on the computer and created a couple of digital pages. Nothing mind blowing, but it helped me brush up on Photoshop Elements.
These were done for the journal I started last year in the Art Journal Caravan workshop I took.
A little more time has gone by than I had planned, but I finally have something to show. I started this little book several months ago but then laid it aside to work on something else. I have been working to finish it up these past couple of weeks. It is something I wanted to make just to try out different art supplies and techniques.
The pages where scanned before the book was bound. It is gloomy here today so the book photo was taken with artificial light and not exactly the best shot.
I may add some ribbons and fibers to the binding rings.
I am a self-taught mixed media artist. I like to experiment with whatever takes my fancy at the moment. Paper and fabric make up a big part of my art. However, it is not unusual to find beads, paint, metal, polymer clay or found objects in my work. Handmade books and mini albums, Art Quilts, Art Dolls, ATC's, Fabric Books, and Needlefelting make up the majority of my work.
