Aaaah, Spring!

For a while it seemed like it would never stop raining, but we finally had a day of sunshine. Right now the forsythia is about the only thing blooming at my house. Looks wonderful doesn’t it.

And because it was such a nice day I did some weeding and other yard work for a few hours. It felt so good to be out in the sun and fresh air.

ah, yes, spring is really here! Before you know it all the trees will be blossoming in your area. Our Dogwood blossoms are beginning to stretch open ... the red buds and crab apples are at their peak.

ah, glorious spring and new growth!

I love seeing the spring yellow of forsythia and scotch broom even though they make me sneeze.

Wow the Forsythia looks gorgeous. It doesn't seem like only yesterday that you were showing us the snow - amazing isn't it how fast things change.

I always used to love forsythia eons ago when I lived in the midwest. Yours is stunning! Jen

It sure feels good to be able to get out and work in the garden, doesn't it. I love your forsythia. I've been enjoy the ones blooming around here and thinking that I need to plant one. Maybe I should get a cutting from the one I gave Dad years ago which is planted on the south side of his porch (in the sad empty house that we still haven't decided to do anything with because houses are not selling well in my home town.)

What a lovely springy picture. Maybe I should go did my fake Forcythia out of the closet! We have warmer temps now, but lots of snow, slick & slushy all over the yard yet.
