This first one is a desertscape.
This second one is an interpretation of another Van Gogh piece.
These two pieces were done completely by hand; none of the felting was done on the embellisher. If you compare them to the two pieces in my last post, you can see the difference from hand felting over the machine felting. Neither piece is actually matted; I just placed the mat to show how they would look with a double mat.

When other people look at my embroidery and exclaim, "Oh, you must have such patience", I smile inside. I know that no patience is required because I find stitching so relaxing. Yet, I am so totally blown away by the dedication I know it must have taken in order to create these miniature masterpieces...I just don't have that sort of patience...or relaxation...but you obviously do and the results are superb. Truly wonderful. I can see the difference and admire your keen eye, your sensitive handling of materials, and your decision to do what is necessary to end up with the results that are pleasing to you. Many congratulations. These are great.
