I hope all of you had a Happy …..(fill in the holiday you celebrate at this time of the year). We made it to my older sisters’ house on Christmas Eve for the family get together. No pictures to post (no one wants to have their picture up on the web). It was a large crowd and everyone seemed to have a good time.
Christmas day started out with a bang (literally). We were up just long enough to get coffee made when we heard a boom and then the electricity went out. Now I’m thinking this is just great, how am I going to cook Christmas dinner (electric stove)? But I also know from past experiences that since it wasn’t something like a storm to make the electric to go out that it would probably be back on within an hour. Sure enough, just about an hour later the RECC truck pulled up out front and had everything back on within a few minutes. And just what was it that caused the problem you ask? Some poor squirrel was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Guess what we had for dinner (fried squirrel). NOT!
