Went to Art Show

We went to the St. James Court Art Show in Louisville, Kentucky this past Friday. It is a three day event held the first weekend in October. It was the 49th year for this show. It has been named the best fine art and design show in the country for the second year in a row by Sunshine Artist, America’s premier show and festival magazine. More than 700 artists representing 40 states and Canada were showcased. It is held in historic old Louisville where there are many wonderful Victorian homes. It covers several square blocks with the St. James Fountain smack in the middle.

I am originally from Louisville and I have been going to this particular art show for a number of years now. What used to be about a 20 minute drive is now closer to an hour and if you get there too late you may have trouble finding a place to park. We have always had to park a good number of blocks away and then walk to the show. I did not make any purchases this time, but have purchased in the past. We just enjoy getting out and walking around and looking at everything including the wonderful houses there. I think DH goes more for the beer than anything else; however, there are certain exhibits that he likes to check out.
